Oooo-kay, this isn't the full Ushicon report. -_-;;;; I'm still working on typing that at home. *lol* I haven't been able to get the pics off the digicam yet, either, since for some reason the "smart media" card didn't want to cooperate with the flash path disk thingy on my aunt & uncle's computer, and they couldn't find the cord to connect the camera directly to the computer since they're in the middle of remodeling their computer room. *sigh* Soon, folks. ^_^;; Really. After I make the changes to my parents' site that they've been bugging me about for a month...
I like Okashina Okashi's take on today's holiday. "Happy Singlehood Awareness Day," indeed! *lol* Every year that I'm single, this is my least favorite holiday. *grumbles* Oh well, I got myself a present last night - a new toy. Waterproof. And batteries. *ecchi grin*

I finally got hold of a karaoke version of the by-now-infamous Vanilla! *eeeeevil grin* I also now have instrumental versions of Kimi no tameni dekiru koto, Miz�rable, Illuminati, Au Revoir, Beast of Blood, and, of course, Forever Love. And now, I shall create the Karaoke CD of DOOOOOOOM!!!! Muahahahahaaaaa! *maniacal fangirl laughter*
Gackt's new single will come out one week after my birthday. *grin* There's no title information yet, but the release date is April 24. *wants it to be April nooooow* CD Japan is taking pre-orders... **^_^**
I have officially fallen in love with X Japan. It only took one song. Keiichi mentioned it at Ushicon, and when I returned I found that Ger at shiroi heya had written a review/analysis of it, so last Thursday I sat down with that review, the lyrics, and an mp3 that took a good bloody long time to download and gave a serious listen to Art of Life, the 30-minute-long epic masterpiece. Oh. My. GAWD. Just... incredible. I honestly can't remember the last time a song made my jaw drop like that. Maybe when I heard Queensr�che's Operation: Mindcrime album in its entirety the first time. Or "Someone Else?". When the song ended, I sat in silence for about five minutes, catching my breath and... surfacing. Their musicianship is amazing, the composition and lyrics (which are in English) are astounding. If you're into progressive metal at all, do yourself a favor and go listen to this song (You can find it easily on Audiogalaxy ^_^). In my opinion, Art of Life is more... incredible (running out of adjectives...) than anything I've heard by Dream Theater, Fates Warning... yes, even Queensr�che.
